Research Interests: Darina Malová focuses on politics in Slovakia and Central Europe, European integration processes, and theories of democracy. She has published numerous studies in Slovak and international journals, and in collective monographies. Her most recent publications include collective monographies Parliamentary democracy, parliaments in the world and in Slovakia (Bratislava, UK 2004), Slovakia as a New Member State – Challenge from a Periphery? (Bratislava, FES 2005) and Governing New Democracies (with Jean Blondel and Ferdinand Müller-Rommel et al., Houndmills, Palgrave 2007).
Marek Rybář, PhD., Erasmus coordinator

Research Interests: Marek Rybář lectures on political parties, EU institutions, and politics in Central and Eastern Europe. His research focuses on political parties and party systems, and on the influence of European integration on domestic politics of the Member States. He has published various studies in domestic and international journals, e.g. Journal of Communist Studies and Transition Politics, Electoral Studies and Communist and Post-Communist Studies.

Research Interest:Erik Láštic lectures on Slovak politics. His research focuses on Slovak political system, e.g. legislative politics, referendum and local government. His latest research deals with New Member States in EU and their their institutional structures, administrative capacity and implementation of the EU law. He co-authored (with D. Malová and M. Rybář) Slovakia as a New Member State – Challenge from a Periphery?(Bratislava, FES 2005).

Vladimír Bilčík, PhD.

Research Interests: Vladimír Bilčík lectures on European integration, international relations and EU foreign policy. He co-authored (with Z. Lisoňová and P. Dobiš) New Member States and EU Foreign Policy. From Outsiders to Visible Voices (Comenius University Press, 2009), has published in various domestic and foreign jouirnals, e.g. Slovak Foreign Policy Affairs, Osteuropa, Dějiny a současnost and contributes regularly to publications such as A Global Report on the State of Society and Yearbook of Foreign Policy of the Slovak Republic. (Bratislava, Comenius University Press 2009)

Zsolt Gál, PhD.

Research Interests: Zsolt Gál lectures on economics and public politics. He graduated there in 2003 and continued his studies at Corvinus University in Budapest, Hungary. He completed the International Relations PhD. program and defended his thesis at the Department of World Economy in 2008. His main areas of interest are international migration, economic policy and the economic aspects of European integration.
